AI and copyright

Your artwork is AI-generated
We say this plainly and visibly: the artwork you receive is generated with AI from the photo or description you provide. We are an openly AI brand and we mark our output as AI-generated, in line with the transparency that the EU AI Act asks for when content is artificially generated.
Copyright on AI output is uncertain
The copyright status of purely AI-generated images is unsettled and limited under current law, because there may be no human author in the traditional sense. For that reason we do not claim to own a clear copyright in the artwork, and we do not transfer or guarantee copyright to you.
Instead, we grant you a usage license. For personal use this is a personal, non-exclusive license that lets you print the artwork, display it and share it with family and friends. For commercial use you need a separate license, which we arrange through our business route.
No claim of uniqueness or exclusivity
Because the artwork is AI-generated, we cannot and do not promise that your result is unique or exclusive. A similar or comparable result could be produced for someone else. If exclusivity matters to you, please contact us before ordering so we can discuss what is possible.
Your responsibility for the source photo
You remain responsible for the rights to the photo you provide and for the consent of any person shown in it, in line with their portrait rights (portretrecht). By uploading a photo you confirm you are allowed to use it for this purpose. You indemnify us against third-party claims that arise from the material you provide.
No training on your data
We do not use your uploaded photos or your finished artwork to train AI models, and we instruct our AI image provider not to use your content to train their models either. Your photo is used only to create your artwork.
Removing a photo or result
